Hayden is adjusting to life as a 3-year old quite nicely. He still likes all the same things that he did when he was a mere 2 3/4, but they are tweaked just a little. He can entertain himself quite nicely. He loves to play cars on the table in the kitchen and can do that for a pretty long time all by himself. Always talking to himself about what he is doing and the scene he is creating with his cars, trucks and trains.

He loves to sing and hum. He even hums some classical tunes thanks to Disney's Little Einsteins. He actually has quite a sense of tone about him and usually hits the tune right on. His favorites to sing are Twinkle Twinkle, ABC's, and I Love You a Bussel and a Peck. He pretty much repeats those over and over, intermixed with humming.

He is a master bike rider now too. He can tear through the park like nobody's business. Next stop, 2 wheeler (maybe with some training wheels thrown in for good measure...or maybe not, that's up to Cameron). If he could choose to do anything during the day, it would be bike riding; hands down.

He also loves his friends and hanging with them at any opportunity. There are two girls and one boy (Lauren, Gwen and Trevor) that he gets to see several times a week. They have bonded quite tightly and even broke into their own unprompted rendition of ring around the rosey at the park the other day while us moms were across the way talking amongst ourselves. It was so cute. Then they all sat down in a row and ate fishy crackers. So stinkin adorable. They do have their perfect moments...

...and their not so perfect ones. Hayden is definitely capable of turning on a dime. He can be happy one second and turn on you the next. He is stubborn and knows what he wants. But of course any toddler is capable of that and as a whole he is really a good boy. He is funny and even cracks jokes sometimes. He asks lots of interesting questions and keeps us on his toes.

Potty training....oh potty training....it's...well....going. We are exactly one week into it today. He is doing well...a few accidents in the first few days, but the last two days have been going great. He is in underwear during the day and pull ups at night. I am sure it will be a process for a time to come. -- mam
