We had another nice Halloween! This year we did lots of events between Preschool and the Mom's Group, so by the time the big night came, Hayden was a pro at wearing the costume! He loved being Eeyore! He had his one line, "Oh bother..." down pat just like Cameron taught him!

During the week we did a party at school with a costume parade and then a mom's group pizza party and a trip to an indoor playground that hosted a costume playdate for the kids. All of them were fun. For the actual Trick-or-Treating, we went over to a friend's house for a homemade Mac-n-Cheese dinner before heading out. Hayden was the youngest of the 6 kids there, so he was at a little bit of a disadvantage. But, he caught on quickly and it didn't take him long to start running to the door and saying, "Trick or Treat", grabbing the candy, and then saying "Thank YOU!" and running away. It was so cute. He collected the lute in his plastic pumpkin and he was a happy camper.

We stayed out a little late (he was in bed by about 8:45) and he did have sort of a hard night of sleep. So needless to say, this morning he didn't earn the Swedish Fish candy treat that he chose on Halloween night.

He is already saying that he wants to be Pooh Bear next year!

How fun! -- mam
