His new schedule goes something like this: 7:30 -7:45am : Wakeup 8-11am : Eat Breakfast, get ready for the day, play, run errands, go to the park and just generally stay busy and keep him distracted from the fact that he's probably exhausted (remember he used to go to sleep at 9am). 11:30am : Lunch 11:45-12pm : Goes down for his ONE nap 2:30-3pm : He wakes up 3-5pm: Have a snack, play, run errands, listen to music, again...the busier the better. 5:15 or so: Have dinner 5:45-6:45pm : Make dinner, answer Hayden's numerous calls for "Mama?", count the minutes until Dad gets home 7:15-7:30pm: Read books and then off to bed.

Not sure why, but lately if Cameron puts Hayden down for bed (we switch every other day), he goes right to sleep. Maybe a little talking, but nothing major. If I do it, he cries and talks and takes quite a while to settle down. We pretty much follow the same exact routine, so I don't know why there is a difference. Just interesting to note.

It will take a while to get used to this new one-nap schedule. I would imagine that as he settles into it more, the nap time will get a little later (maybe he will go down closer to 1pm in the future). However, since he seems to sleep for about 3 hours right now, I don't want to push it out too late so that his nap runs too close to bedtime. We want him good and tired for that! -- mam
