Now it is Monday (9/19) and we are still a paci-free household. There is NO turning back now. We are home free (knock wood)! Hayden still cries for a few minutes when he is put down (which he never used to do), but it isn't like he is crying himself to sleep (as he did for a few of the first paci-free naps). We are hopeful that as he finds new ways to soothe himself, the crying should subside. Or maybe that is his way of soothing himself...we'll just have to wait and see. We are so proud of him though (and ourselves we might add!) for working through this. He is learning how to put himself to sleep without the pacifier and that is a big step in our minds. -- mam
