Maybe we will get lucky and they will be able to seat us in a row with an empty middle seat. That would be ideal. Or maybe, the unlucky soul who we are going to flank (yes, we did the dasterdly deed and booked a window and an aisle in a three seat row) will go insane and move, leaving us that extra precious 2 1/2 feet of width to ourselves! But, if not...we will deal. And it will most likely drive home the fact that we should have forked over the money for a third seat and teach us never to be that frugal again! For our own sanity if nothing else.

We are, however, looking forward to life after the plane ride. We have a lot planned in this short 10-day excursion. For the first 6 days we wil stay with my birthmother, Sandy, and her family. Reunion festivities await us at their house starting on Friday and lasting through the weekend. Then on Monday, we make the 3-hour drive into NYC with Sandy, her husband, Greg, and their daughters, Kristine and Erica. We will stay one night and two long days there to try and see as much as humanly possible. Ground Zero, The Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Rockefeller Center and Central Park are tops on the list of places to see. Upon returning, we will spend the rest of our trip with my dad and Kathie seeing other fun sights like Saratoga (the famous horse racing city), Lake George, Lake Champlain, Fort Ticonderoga, and a few more. We will also celebrate Hayden's First Birthday while we are gone (he turns 1 on the day that we fly home).

We will surely have tons of photos and stories to share when we get home. Look out for that post in a few weeks.

Until we return... -- mam
