Hayden will be 4 weeks old tomorrow! I can't believe how fast the time has gone. Everyone says that, but now I really can appreciate just how absolutely true that statement is. He is growing and changing everyday. Last time that we weighed him on our home scale (about a week ago) he was 8lbs 6oz and I am sure he has gained some since then. I watched the video that my dad shot as we were leaving the hospital, and I could not believe how much he has changed already. His cheeks have filled out and he is looking like such a sweet little man now. He has figured out his days and nights (for the most part) now and after reading some stories online, I have realized that we don't really have it that bad. One middle of the night feeding with a little fussing afterwards sound much better than crying for hours on end like some people experience. I don't think we realize just how good we have it, but that fact is becoming clearer as time goes on. He is a good boy and over the past couple of days he has been having an easier time staying awake during the day and making great strides in holding up his head.

Time marches forward and I am excited to see what advances each day brings, but I plan on savoring every minute. I am so enjoying "the mom thing" and I am sure it only gets better from here! -- mam
