Today was a busy day. After breakfast we went to the circumcision which went very well. From there we had the PKU test and the hearing test. The PKU is the "no news is good news" type of test, and after getting some fluids out of his ears, he passed the hearing test just fine.

After that we went to the infant bathing and breastfeeding class where we learned.. well, how to do those things.

One of the nice things about the hospital, is that the Mom gets all her food free of charge (well relatively speaking), which leaves the Dad (me) left to his own devices. So Grandpa Mason and I went down to the cafeteria and grabbed a late breakfast while Michelle had a personal visit from the lactation nurse.

Most of this stuff is part of the checking-out process, so after a feeding (Michelle had lunch too) we were walking out of the door at 1pm.

One of the incredibly nice benefits of Michelle working with Growing Families at Evergreen is that she was recognized by about 5 different nurses all of whom were extremely friendly.

So here's the good stuff. Here are the pictures you've been waiting for.

You can also get some short videos as well.

The one above is especially neat in that last night Hayden's temperature was a bit low so Mom and him had to do some "skin to skin" time. I thought it was cute so I had to grab the moment. If you go click on the Pictures link, then "birth" -- cjm
