Here is the scoop. First off we really didn't leave at 1am. We called the hospital and gave them our numbers and they said to hang out for a bit. At 2:30 we called again and they said to come in.

We left at 2:45 and by the time we got to the hospital (20min) Michelle had had 6 contractions.

Checking in was a flash and a tad bit surreal. They got her hooked up to this neat device that shows contraction severity and baby heartbeat. Once calibratred it helps everyone know what to expect.

At check in she was 3cm/80% and at 3:45 her water broke. By 4:30 she was 5cm/100% and thus epidural ready. She doesn't know this yet but I got a tad greenish so I had to sit down (chills and all that. I'm good to go now)

So that is it.. She is resting and I've been given the go ahead to nap. -- cjm
